The Irish Sea at its most liberated, the storm crosses this arm of the North Atlantic Ocean as we sea a distant trawler.
Soft pastel is drawn into the surface of the linen, almost mapping the composition until every mark has overlapped, creating sky and sea.
 
The edges are golded in gold leaf whic wraps around and onto the painting in areas, adding to the quality. The gilding means there is no need to frame, however a frame with linen slip would be delightful.
