'Safari' is another piece of my hybrid series. This artwork too uses humour and absurdity to make a comment on the social, political and historical elements associated with the object it focuses on.
In this case, the main object is a pith helmet and is placed on top of a sort of new animal part leopard and part bird with golden chains at the legs. This clumsy, cartoonish figure explores notions of exploitation and colonialism.Media
