Title
Paradise
Description
These heavy empasto paintings were inspired by my garden at the beginning of spring time last year. My work process involves making painting tools which work as a device to achieve an instinctive contact between my self and the painting and allowing the accidental to become part of the work, but these paintings have been finished using my fingers.
The idea was to finish the paintings as if I was gardening, so as if to have a sense of reality not through the final image, but through the process of making. Abstraction can be taken to another level, which is not only coming from thoughts or emotions, but also involving a direct link with the body.
The round shaped canvas is also a response to cosiness, or shell I say, “my garden, my little world”.Media
