Drawing Room I by Angela Murray is part of an ongoing study of interior spaces, investigating the textures of linens and textiles adorning many of these spaces and in the case of this painting, used to frame the window with a view beyond to the gardens. A play on light and form pervades using a palette of wonderful lucid blues, from indigos to cobalts and the lightest of glass blues to capture the morning light.
