Description
For my Coloured Abstracts series, I work intuitively with hand-formed porcelain elements, placing them onto a porcelain base as the composition slowly reveals itself. I often begin with a simple line or a few brushed stains, allowing my intuition and the ‘scales’ to guide the final form.

I mix stains directly into the paper porcelain to achieve each colour, sometimes finishing the edges with gold lustre or brushed gold enamel to add a quiet shimmer. Each piece is mounted on a wooden base with an invisible sub-floating base place in a boxed frame, ready to hang.
